Inspecting them, making sure they are not compromised, and repairing them if they are, is our job. Typically, concrete repairs mostly are addressed using these two methods of repair, a lot of times using both of them.

Spalling Repair with Patching

Purpose: Fixes areas where concrete has flaked or spalled off due to corrosion or impact damage.

Process: The damaged concrete is chipped away, the exposed reinforcement is cleaned and treated for corrosion, and new structural-grade repair material is applied.

Reinforcement Replacement

Purpose: When reinforcing steel within the beam is severely corroded or damaged.

Process: The deteriorated concrete is removed, and corroded reinforcements are replaced or supplemented with new ones. The beam is then re-concreted.

Treating the Reinforcing so it is not affected by Chlorides in the future.
